If you pass an electric current through salt water, it produces an anolyte solution made up of >99.3% water, chloride salt and also Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl). We use this process to replicate the production of HOCl which is a naturally occurring chemical in all mammals/. HOCl is produced by the immune system in white blood cells to fight bacteria and inflammation after an infection or trauma.
